Mission Sicily exists to make disciples, strengthen and plant churches, develop leaders, and build bridges across the cultural and social boundaries that shape Sicily and Italy. We believe mission begins with presence—living among people, listening to their stories, learning their culture, building trust, and sharing the hope of Jesus in ways that are meaningful within the realities of everyday life. From Sicily’s historic communities to its growing immigrant and refugee populations, we want to see people encounter Jesus, become disciples, and help others do the same.
Because Sicily sits at the crossroads of Europe, North Africa, and the Mediterranean, we believe what happens here has implications far beyond the island itself. Mission Sicily works alongside local churches, leaders, missionaries, and ministry partners to encourage healthy, multiplying communities of faith and create opportunities for people from different backgrounds to connect. Disciples. Churches. Bridges. These three words capture our vision: make disciples who make disciples, help churches become healthy and reproducing, and build bridges of hope that connect people, communities, and cultures.
